Safety on the road

Good day,

I suggest to install red light cameras to every traffic lights in the city. Every single day I see cars driving trough the red light, and putting the lives or our children and families in danger. My children, husband and I, all experienced very dangerous situations where we almost got hit by a car who did not think it was convenient for him to stop at the red light and missed us from just a few cm.

I personally believe that the gemeente is responsible for ensuring that everyone respects the traffic laws, and considering the number of bikes (inc. very young children on their own sometimes), more prevention and safety should be offered to the population.

Finally, the cost for such an installation would, I am sure, very soon be recovered considering the incredible high number of people not respecting the traffic lights. We cannot accept that our lives are put in danger because some people believe it is too long to wait for a few seconds at the traffic light.
